"In Go Ask Fannie, readers follow the adult Blaire children, Lizzie, George, and Ruth, as they convene for a weekend visit in New Hampshire at the behest of their father, Murray. The Blaire children carry with them a host of issues, but perhaps the biggest one is that it has been more than 30 years since the accident that took their mother, Lillian, and brother, Daniel, from them. When a beloved keepsake of Lillian's, a Fannie Farmer cookbook, is discovered ruined, it is considered a travesty. As the Blaire family grapples with the present and the past, readers learn about the enigmatic Lillian, an aspiring writer, and the struggle she faced in reconciling who she wanted to be with who she needed to be"-- Booklist.

I was disappointed. I love reading books that revolve around love of cooking or baking. From the title, I thought I had found another book like that. Unfortunately, Fannie farmers cookbook is just used as a tool for family drama to occur around. There was barely any cooking or baking or love of food in the book.
Also, the title of the book is referred to within… But it barely becomes part of the book. I feel it was used as a tool to draw readers in.
For anyone looking for a book that really revolves around the love and appreciation of food, try “the city bakers guide to country living“ by Louise Miller, for one.

I felt like, I was at a family reunion. We all go through issues, and family regrets etc. Makes you think about relation ships.
