The book is a great adventure book for children to follow along with while the bear gets into trouble. Children will enjoy this book because it teaches a moral lesson of friendship and determination. Corduroy is determined to find his button that he has lost. This is where the entire adventure lies for him. Lisa is determined to buy Corduroy even though her mother says she does not have enough money to purchase Corduroy for Lisa; Lisa is still determined to buy Corduroy. Lisa is successful in doing so because she goes home and counts the money in her piggy bank and comes back the next day to purchase Corduroy.
Until now I hadn't read Corduroy in years and I had forgotten how much I love it. Such a sweet story with beautiful illustrations. Children and adults alike will love it.
This book brings back good memories.
This was one of my favourite stories as a child. I love the message of how it is okay not to be perfect. I love that I can share that with my son. He enjoyed listening to this in the car while we are driving about. The story teller does a nice job of telling the story too.
This sweet book is extra special to me- it was the first book I ever read and owned in English.
This children's book is a classic and I really enjoyed reading it with the children at work. They seemed really interested in the story and I remember reading it as a child and enjoying it as well. Corduroy gets into some shenanigans at the department store trying to find his lost button, he eventually gets bought by a little girl and has his button repaired. Really fun read with nice illustrations.

Corduroy gets a button sewn on. I like that because he didn't know that his button was lost on one of his straps. It made me feel happy that he found a friend and a home. That was a surprise. Kids who are 2 years old and up would like this story. This is a happy story. I am most like the girl who wants to buy stuff, because I like to buy stuff.
Awesome, Amazing, and a delight for kids. I enjoyed reading this book to my baby sister which is now 7 years old. Basically the book is about Corduroy that's trying to find his missing, and Laura purchases him then sews a new button on him. This book teaches a lot of lessons to anyone all you have to do is have determination anything is possible if you just believe it's possible like Corduroy the bear.
