When young adventurer Laios and his company are attacked and soundly thrashed by a dragon deep in a dungeon, the party loses all its money and provisions...and a member! They're eager to go back and save her, but there is just one problem: If they set out with no food or coin to speak of, they're sure to starve on the way! But Laios comes up with a brilliant idea: "Let's eat the monsters!" Slimes, basilisks, and even dragons...none are safe from the appetites of these dungeon-crawling gourmands!

This manga combines an appreciation for good food with D&D-like dungeon delving in order for the main character to save his sister who has been eaten by a dragon. In order to do so, their party of heroes decides to begin eating the monsters they kill while venturing deeper into the dungeon.

Well, that's one of the oddest little stories I've read--in a good way, I think. Foodie fiction and D&D are not two things most people would mash up, but this series does so with gusto. I most identified with party member Marcille who is horrified by some of the dishes but eventually tries them due to hunger and finds them... kind of delicious, actually.

Imagine if a D&D adventuring party had to eat all the monsters they battle in a dungeon. This book is hilarious!
