Detectives Mørck and Assad decided to look into a twenty years old closed double murder case; fast moving, intense, very dark and gritty noir. The murders and villains were brutal but not entirely original. But the way the case was retold, re-investigated and re-closed were imaginative. Loved the chemistry of the three actors in Dept. Q and the actor was super playing the "absent one" Kimmie. Per wiki: The Absent One (Danish: Fasandræberne), also known as Department Q: The Absent One, is a 2014 Danish crime mystery film directed by Mikkel Nørgaard (da) and co-written by Nikolaj Arcel and Rasmus Heisterberg (da), based on Jussi Adler-Olsen's novel of the same name. It is the second film in the Department Q series following the 2013 film The Keeper of Lost Causes, and preceding the 2016 film A Conspiracy of Faith.
