Divergent is the first book of a trilogy (Allegiant and Insurgent) about a very dystopian society. In this world once a child reach a certain age they have to choose between 5 different factions:
Erudite, Abegnation, Amidy, Candor and Dauntless. The chosen faction will determine the rest of your life. Each faction has a specific trait, for example Dauntless is fearlessness and Erudite is intelligence and technology. Tris, a girl from Abegnation, chooses the Dauntless faction and navigates her way through the admittance trials which train her to be more fearless and dependent. I liked this book because it was a perfect blend of adventure and romance. I would rate this book 4 out of 5 because the plot was interesting but the writing style was plain. I would recommend this book to 12+ since there is inappropriate language and smoke violence.
