What a phenomenal man! What a great man! I had no idea until I perused this book! I had thought that Holbrooke, a director at AIG back in the 2000s [you remember AIG and those massive government TARP fund bailouts, by chance???], a guy who scraped through Columbia University's School of Journalism, was unable to obtain a job at any newspaper, took the Foreign Service example but failed, then decided he'd be an army officer, but flunked the OCS exam - - fortunately his family was connected to Dean Rusk, who get him a job with the State Department [a job Holbrooke never could qualify for] and the rest is history - - was with the Clinton Administration when they welcomed the Taliban to America [oh how so many have forgotten that!!!] - - would later go to Wall Street where his // financial brilliance \\ would pay off handsomely [an overnight financial genius, huh? sounds like the standard political payoff and, oh yeah, did I mention AIG???] - - remember when he was involved with Kosovo and Bosnia, where the Serbs predicted would one day be an Islamist extremist stronghold [they recently came out for ISIS, so I guess history proves the Serbs correct - - and Holbrooke eternally wrong!!!!]. A great man - - according to this book, that is . . .
