One of Christie's most famous mysteries, this is clever and complicated. I too found several examples of sloppy editing, not surprising given how quickly she churned her books out during the 1930s. I first read it years ago, and remembered who did it. That made it rather fun to see how Poirot got to his conclusion. I had, interestingly, forgotten the actual ending of the story. With so many characters, most are lightly sketched, but I was able to tell them apart; that's all the story requires. I prefer Miss Marple, but if I run across another Poirot, I'll probably read it.
