What can I say but that I love everything about this movie - the story, the music, the dancing, the performances - all superb. It has all the charm of Hollywood musicals of old, but with a modern twist. The lines between fantasy and reality are blurred as Mia and Sebastian try to realize their dreams in Tinseltown. Mia is an aspiring actress and Sebastian wants to open his own jazz club so he neither has to play standards at the piano bar, nor play keyboards in a mediocre band that is forever on tour. They keep stumbling into each other around L.A. Mia takes an interest in him and he eventually sees the light in her. But can one have it all even with hard work and dedication? This is called into question. But we can always dream. The movie is also a love letter to L.A. Various L.A. locales serve as beautiful backdrop to the various song and dance numbers. You'll find yourself singing - "City of stars, are you shining just for me? City of stars, there's so much that I can't see. Who knows, is this the start of something wonderful and new? Or one more dream that I cannot make true?"
