Shallow and dated. Became annoyed at the halfway point because things just happened just because. The dialogue was awful, and nonstop. It got exhausting having every detail explained when it didn't need to, or was boring and unimportant. Maybe it would have been okay to have all that unrealistic talking a little bit, but I was acutely aware I was watching a movie. Nobody acted like a human being, and often acted like idiots to things that would be unacceptable in real life. Frankly, Holly is a spoiled Mary Sue, and the guy is clearly a self insert by the writer. Then you have the racist depiction of the upstairs neighbor, whose only real purpose in the story was to be an angry stereotype. Then you have the main song Moon River, which is fantastic, but is the only damn music played in the movie, with endless lazy variations. It doesn't fit the tone of the movie, and becomes distracting when the characters break the fourth wall and sing it. The best character in the movie is the cat. It really steals the show, and had way more screen presence than the actors.
